Carina in the media
TV WORK
I was the nutritionist for Channel 4's Turn Back Your Body Clock (aired 2006), as well as writing the spin-off book to accompany the series.
Channel 4's You Are What You Eat also called on me as a consultant, and I wrote several of the books to accompany these programmes.
PRINT MEDIA
I write for a variety of national magazines and newspapers, and am often called up upon for comment when food and nutrition are in the news. I also act as a media spokesperson for the Nutrition Society and the Association for Nutrition (AfN).
I'm a regular contributor to magazines including Woman, Healthy, Cook Vegetarian, Women's Fitness, Men's Health and Bodyfit. You'll also see me quoted in a variety of other magazines.
Woman
I contribute regularly for Woman's healthy eating section, writing features and devising diet plans.
Healthy
Food Notes is a regular two-page feature where I comment on the 'diary' of a reader with a particular health concern, giving nutritional advice.
I also write Healthy's monthly Supplement Focus feature, and answer readers' questions in the magazine.
Natural Health
Natural Health's Food Notes is a monthly page where I explain the health benefits of a food along with the scientific evidence behind them.
Cook Vegetarian
Every month I answer a reader's question in the magazine. I am generally given any questions that come in about children, but they can be about anything!
Women's Fitness
I am a regular contributor to this magazine, providing 'science based' articles on nutritional subjects.
Men's Health
As well as being quoted in the print version of the magazine, I am a regular contributor to the magazine's busy website.
Bodyfit
Nutrition articles and diet plans.
I also write for a wide range of other publications, including First, Now, Food!, Somerfield Magazine, Boots Magazine, You Are What You Eat, Slimmer, Zest, Light and Easy, Saga, and Prima Baby.
